About Paint the Future 2010:

For Microsoft India, growth is linked to Education, Employment, Empowerment of Women and concern for the Environment. To highlight these 4 themes, Microsoft India has commissioned a series of paintings from Zaki titled ‘Paint the Future. These paintings are up for auction, and all proceeds from the winning bids will be donated to Chetna and Udyan Care, two NGOs working with children.

The Bidding Process and Payment System

The four paintings in the Paint the Future Series will be sold to the highest bidder. [To bid for these paintings, click here].

The Bidding Process

The Bidding process will work in the following way:

a) Zaki, a division of Synapse Information Services, is managing the entire bidding process

b) Visitors can enter the bidding amount on the home page. The bidding amount has to be at least Rs 1,000 more than the current bid. You can bid for more than one painting

c) On entering the amount, users will be prompted to login or register

 

For Registered Users

a) If you have already registered, just login with the email address and password you gave at the time of registration

b) On successful login, you bid will get accepted and the new bid amount will be displayed on the Website

 

For New Users

a) New Users will have to register by providing the name, address, email address, phone number and other details

b) An email will be sent to the email address asking the user to validate

c) After validation, we will call up the user on the number provided as a second step verification process. This is being done to ensure genuine bidding

 

Successful Bids and Payment

a) The Bidding will be on till January 31, 2010, 11.59 p.m. but can be closed earlier.

b) The highest bid at closing of bid will be the successful bidder

c) The successful bidder will be notified at his or her registered email address about the successful bidding. Value Added Tax (VAT) as per applicable government rates will be charged on the final bidding amount and an invoice of the total amount presented.

d) The successful biddger have to make the payment by cheque to Synapse Information Services Pvt Ltd or can transfer the payment by NetBanking to an account number that will be provided. This payment has to be done within 5 working days of the successful bid.

d) On receipt of the payment, the painting will be delivered by Speed Post/Blue Dart courier to the postal address. This delivery will happen from Goa.

e) If we don't receive the payment in 5 working days, the painting can be awarded to the next highest bidder.

f) The paintings are currently unframed, but stretched on canvas. In case, you require Zaki to do the framing, additional framing costs will be charged.
